ALL PROGRAMS
Artist Teacher
Residency & scholarship for professional educators
(one who educates others on any subject for at least 50% or more of your dedicated professional time)
Curator
Residency & scholarship program centered around curating a show with Mary Sky
Proposals shall include a draft of a line budget and total estimated exhibition cost
Exhibitions proposed may be for Mary Sky’s Rural Gallery space, the mountain forests and streams of our Main Campus, or any other location
Please elaborate as much as possible if choosing a location other than Mary Sky Main Campus or Rural Gallery for your proposed exhibition (why, where, etc)
Partner Artist
Residency and scholarship program for emerging & mid-career fine artists of any discipline
Research, begin, complete or make significant progress on a particular project proposal
Examples of projects proposals: a series, a book, a sculpture, a research project, film, multimedia, sound work, body of music, movement performance, installation, or any other cohesive pitch for an artistic endeavor you’re working on
HOW TO APPLY
IMPORTANT: In 2024, Mary Sky Residency will be invite-only. Invitations have been issued to previous applicants and emerging artists of interest.
Applications are due June 1st annually. Late Applications accepted by June 15th.
To apply, click the button above or navigate to "Apply" in our Residency menu. Download the application. Submit your application fee.
Once you have completed your application, send it to artists@marysky.co with your full name and "Residency Application" included in the subject line.

PHILOSOPHY
To challenge oneself in life is a path to challenging oneself in work.
If you are uncomfortable in a camping setting, this residency is probably not a good fit. To ensure you are informed and prepared for the rustic nature of this experience, please contact us with any questions.
